YMCA Youth Services are based on positivity, proactivity and a whole-of-person approach.
The YMCA has been a trusted provider of values based services to Australia’s youth for over 150 years. Each year, over 300,000 young people across Australia come into contact with YMCA Youth Services staff.
YMCA Youth Centres
Our Youth Centres in Wendouree and South Ballarat provide safe and structured environments for young people to have fun with their friends, participate in various activities and learn new skills.
The Centres offer an opportunity for young people to be involved, feel heard and to take part in leadership roles.
We offer our Practical Skills Programs (PSP) at both sites. This program has scheduled activities that provide opportunities to gain essential life skills, partake in sports, trades, community programs and events.

YMCA Connect Camp
Connect Camp is a school holiday camp for young people aged 8 to 16 who are considered vulnerable, disadvantaged or at risk.
On Camp, these kids work with vibrant, experienced and passionate YMCA volunteers, who provide intensive support to the campers through one-on-one mentoring. Along with kids from around the state, they are encouraged to realise their potential and learn about community values and leadership.
YMCA acknowledges the support of local businesses such as Caine Real Estate for funding to enable young people to access Camp Connect.

YMCA School Leadership Program
Aimed at Grade 5's in Term 4 or new Grade 6's in Term 1, our program supports the development of these students as they move into leadership roles in their final year at Primary School. We have also facilitated programs for students as young as Grade 3 with great outcomes.
The Program enables children to experience the core concepts of leadership and team building in a fun and engaging environment. It includes:
- a pre-program and post-program survey to gauge the students understanding of leadership both before and after the program.
- Series of games and activities, which build on successive leadership areas
- Debrief after each activity to ensure that all students have the opportunity to contribute
For further information about the School Leadership Program, please contact Stacey Oliver on 0434 743 993 or 4333 6400 or via email: email@example.com.
